Fun Pregnancy Reveal of 2011

I hope you can read what this says.  "Mom is having a baby."  When I was expecting a baby in February of 2011, this is how we chose to tell the big kids (5).

Daddy wrote in the snow.

They all climbed up on the roof.

They didn't look until they could all look at the same time.

One problem:

Jumping up and down on the roof with excitment could be dangerous.  Just saying.

We were not able to keep this baby because I miscarried just a few weeks later. :-(  I was 7 weeks along.  This was our second miscarriage.  You can read about our first one here and what we did to deal with the grief and how Build-A-Bear helped us in the grieving process.

It has now been 15 months later and to this date, God has not chosen to bless us with another little French Fry.  We anxiously await each month to see if this will be the month we can find another creative way to tell the kids we will be adding to the family.  Who knows?!   Maybe God sees that our family is exactly how big He wants it...

...I will keep you posted! ;-)

Oh, Niki. I'm so sorry. God's will is not always ours and it can be so painful. Your wee ones are with Him now, though. I hope you may have the precious new to share sometime in the future, but if not, know it is all in God's hands.

Take care!!

That is a precious, although heartbreaking, little picture! I'm sorry for your losses and so thankful you have the strong arms of your husband and the tender love of your Savior to hold you up!

Niki, this broke my heart. I have never seen such a tiny baby... precious and heartbreaking at the same time. I know your desire for more little ones to love. I am praying for you!
