What Color Is God?

Do you know what color you are?  After reading the introduction, and all about the RedsBluesWhites, and Yellows, your head may be spinning with all of the information, or you may be asking, "What am I supposed to do with all of this?".

I'd like to ask you a very thought provoking question

with two parts to the question.  For those who have been raised in church or at least have read the Bible through, you will probably think it is silly of me to ask such a question.  You will begin to give me an answer and then hesitate.  I have found that few really know exactly what to say, though we think we know the answer (myself included).  It is something taught in Sunday Schools yet most of the time never quite fully grasped.

I never understood the impact of the answer to this question until recently.

Would I get to the question already??!!!

I'd like to strongly suggest you read the above mentioned posts about The Color Code before you try to answer this question.

Having read all that I have shared with you...

Here it is...part one...

What color do you think God is?

Is He Red because He is so powerful?  Is He Blue because He longs to have an intimate relationship with you?  Is He White because He is the God of peace?  Surely He is not Yellow because how much of God is really fun??

God is

the best

of ALL colors!!!

Here is the exciting part about that.  I know you have heard the scripture many times in Genesis 1:27 "So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He them; male and female created He them."

Part Two:  What has this meant to you in the past?

I've heard responses such as

  • we have attributes like God
  • we should strive to be perfect like God
  • we have physical features like God
and so on.  But what if, in light of The Color Code, I told you this?  God is the best of all colors.  He has no limitations, only strengths.  When He made me in His image, He took a piece of His Yellow and said, "I am making Niki in my image!"  When God formed my dear, sweet hubby in his momma's womb He said, "I am giving Steve a piece of my Blue."

He gave you a piece of Himself!  Our life experiences have made up the rest of our color wheel,  but God, Himself, made you in His image.

He reached inside His garment to His very bosom and took a piece of Himself into His hands.
He opened His hands to reveal your primary color.
He gently blew it out of His hands into your very being the moment conception occurred.
He had it all planned out prior to this moment, but waited until then to begin unfolding His plan.
This gives me the visual I need to understand that, indeed, I am created in His image.  I have the part of His color that He wants me to have.  It is up to me to perfect it and become more like Him.

I am Yellow, driven by fun.  I am a piece of God.  My limitations are a result of sinful nature, but I can overcome.

I hope you are blessed as you realize God created you to be who you are.  Don't use your color's limitations as an excuse.  Always strive to become more like God...

for He is truly the best of ALL of the colors!

The People Code by Dr. Taylor Hartman. This book is not written from a Christian perspective, so keep that in mind when reading. I hope you enjoy learning about how to build better relationships with those you love and deal with on a regular basis!
